DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) E.N. Welch, Forestville, Conn., "Column" shelf clock, 30 hour, time and strike, weight driven movement in a rosewood veneer case, c1872; (2) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Cottage" clock, 30 hour, time and strike with alarm, spring driven movement in a rosewood veneer case, c1880; (3) E. Ingraham, Bristol, Conn., "Baltic, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a grain painted wood case, c 1880.
CONDITION: (1) Case has been partially refinished. Column gilding and faux finish are nicely restored. New metal dial, pendulum, and hands. Replaced lower tablet. Partial inner label. Weights are modern. (2) The case finish has been rubbed down and been given an application of clear coat. There are a few small scratches. The metal dial has a new paper dial over it. The lower tablet is in good shape. Hands are replacements. (3) The case has much of its original finish. The paper dial is darkened and stained. Good double-vial style pendulum and rear paper label. Dimensions are for the "Column" (1). Sold "as is ".
